This is an excellent progression rounte for those working in settings who have an existing Level 2 qualification.

Course Content

This 300 hour award is designed to support NVQ at Level 3, and is also a stand alone qualification. It provides a qualification for candidates who work with or wish to work with children aged  0 - 16 in settings or services whose main purpose is children's care, learning and development. The course is divided into 5 unit and all units must be completed to obtain the award:

Unit 1: Principles and values underpinning work with children and the protection and promotion of children's rights

Unit 2: The provision of a healthy, safe and secure environments for children

Unit 3:The positive of effective, high quality childcare environments

Unit 4: Promoting child and young person development

Unit 5: Promoting learning within early education frameworks

Please note: all participants must be working in an appropriate environments.
