The Disability Discrimination Act 1995/ SEN Disability Act 2001 and the updated SEN and Disability Act 2002 makes it illegal for settings to refuse to take children with SEN. This means that training in this field has become a number one priority. To meet SEN children's needs requires knowledge, sensitivity and understanding. Course Content
This course examines the needs of children and young people experiencing learning difficulties, physical or sensory impairment or delays in development. The impact this may have on families and a review of the statutory assessment procedure and Code of Practice and the importance of flexible approaches to education techniques
