CACHE have developed two 60 hour awards to enable those working in After School settings to work in Early Years and visa versa.

This CACHE Level 3 Award in Early Years and Childcare for Playworkers has been designed for practicitioners who hold a current Level 3 qualification in Playwork and who wish to or work in settings whose main area is Early Years and Childcare.

Course Content

This 60 hour award focuses on the critical differences between the knowledge and skills of someone who already holds a Level 3 qualification. In order to gain the award you must complete two untis:

Unit 1: Theory and practice in promoting children's learning and development

Unit 2: Aspects of children's care, leaning and development practice

This award is linked to the National Occupational Stanards (NOS) for Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD).
