This qualification has been designed for Level 3 practitioners who have the responsibility of preparing their setting for accredited quality assurance schemes or statutory inspections. It is an opportunity for practictioners to enhance and develop their knowledge and understanding of the sector at an advanced level.
Course Content
The aim of this qualification is to help you to critically evaluate the processes that need to be followed in order to achieve the highest possible quality standards within the setting in which you work. The qualification will also examine accredited quality assurance schemes and the statutory inspection process. When you have completed the award you will have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of how a work setting can raise the quality of practice and manage staff through the inspection process.
Research projects, such as the Effective Provision of Pre-School Education (EPPE) and the Peers in Early Education Project (PEEP) have proven the link between effective management and quality care for children, so ensuring that those in charge have these skills is essential for children's well-being.
